Retry in IVR Press extention music
« on: April 21, 2017, 01:02:55 PM »
It should be possible to define an maximum amount of retries.
-Now when you would let the customer press a number he can do the endlessly ... so you could end up in a long loop. If the # tries is uses up the callflow continuous ( to a hang up e.g.).
- with an option # retry you could use the timeout feature to go back to the message an amount of times defined by the retry value. after that amount of times it continuous to hanup e.g.

Ok found a work around

See image attachment for better understanding:

use asterisk command
set(counter=0)
play the menu
on the i or t extention
do a manual if
 counter
< less
3
on the red:
asterisk command : set(counter=$[${counter}+1])
goto  ->play menu
on the green
set(counter=0)  // maybe not needed
hangup

That works, but is extra work for setting up

Hi Johan,
please consider using the CallFlow Editor. There you can simply create IVRs. Additonaly you can use asterisk commands. To use them you have to switch in to advance mode and go to the tab "Complex" to add Asterisk Command.
