New release: 4.1.2
« on: November 18, 2015, 09:10:06 AM »
Good morning,

Due to some issues with 4.1.1 we have now released 4.1.2.
We recommend everybody running 4.1 or 4.1.1 to update to this version.

http://askozia.com/changelog/

I am very positive that the issues of the last versions are now under control.  ::)

Thanks for your patience!

Thank you for this....

fixed SIP channels hang due to wrong long/long division within gcc library

Also thanks for the quick fixes since 4.1+.

Can we make 4.1.2 the STANDARD 4.0 download?  make life easier :)

I have downgraded again this afternoon, and now it is working. But I always am scared for updates, why?

When I update Askozia, almost everytime my storage from unused space is corrupted or not mounted anymore.
The problem is that I have to start all over with the storage again, format the unused space again, and since my storage is not a HDD but SD, I don't like the formating on the SD. It costs a lot of writing and reading again on my SD card.

I hope in the future updates will also take care of the storage and not corrupt it or delete it.
Off course I could use a usb stick for storage, but I really wanted to use the unused space of the SD card itself.

Second problem is, that even after deleting the space and reinstall the storage again Askozia sometimes doen't react on that.
So I have to do this several times.

For now its fine with me. I stick with 4.0

No 4.1.2 for me.

It costs to much of time to do all that work everytime there's an update.
Since there were no problems in the forum about this update I just tried to go for it, but it was the wrong choice.

ok. There is really no support for the "unused space" function. Sure everytime you update, you might need to place back a Backup.
Are you still on Alix or do you use an Intel NUC now?

Tonight I tried it again to update, and before updating I deleted the unused space partition.
After updating I put a usb stick in it, and now it works.
So no problems for me anymore.
But still sad for the unused space, which can now not be used.

Askozia was designed to run with read only on the system-drive so it will last a long time. This is why "use unused space" is just for testing and without any warranty. It is not without reason a "hidden" feature.
