Add TUN/TAP
« on: May 10, 2011, 09:37:19 PM »
Hi,

I want to add OpenVPN to embadded ASKOZIA so I compiled the source with t2... it works but when i want to run OpenVPN with:

Code: [Select]
openvpn --config client.conf
where client.conf is my OpenVPN configuration file (cert and key are OK and the server accept the request from my embadded askozia)

it say:

Code: [Select]
Note: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such file or directory (errno=2)
Note: Attempting fallback to kernel 2.2 TUN/TAP interface
Cannot allocate TUN/TAP dev dynamically
Exiting

i tried to add a TUN device with:

Code: [Select]
mkdir -p /dev/net
mknod /dev/net/tun c 10 200
chmod 600 /dev/net/tun

i have:

Code: [Select]
Note: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such device (errno=19)
Note: Attempting fallback to kernel 2.2 TUN/TAP interface
Cannot allocate TUN/TAP dev dynamically
Exiting

There is some one who tried to add an TUN or TAP interface to ASKOZIA or install OPENVPN successfully

Thanks for answer.

How do you even access the command line to install openvpn?

Hi

ssh to your askozia with following user/pw:

Code: [Select]
root
<your-pw-for-webfrontend>

Stephan.
