another interesting request.

im glad to see the migration to asterisk 1.61 hopefully 1.62 when everything is ironed out and stable.

one thing i have noticed though is the powerful alternative freeswitch,

can i ask the dev team what their thoughts are on this ?

That would have to be a new project...like AskoziaSWITCH or something. Asterisk handles all of the media, provides applications for that media etc. FreeSWITCH is great but focuses on being a switch. Routing traffic and connections.

We'll be moving from 1.6.1 to 1.8 LTS when it is released.
