I cannot make outbound calls because creating outbound rules is not documented. I have used MonoWall before and was very satisfied. One thing I like with Askozia is CPU and memory consumption. But Askozia is competing with many other GUI based PBX like 3CX with very easy configuration and up to date documentation. How can I resolve this dilema or just forget and continue to use 3CX.

Hello lukura,
I know is frustrating when trying to configure something with very little or no documentation, but that's the this projects start. Hopefully good documentation will come afloat as time goes by.
Now you said you're not able to dial out.
What I did to configure my outbound trunk was the following:
1- Check the settings from your provider for making outbound calls (i.e. if they want 10 digits, or if the area code is prefixed) .
2- On the main menu go to:
Accounts => Providers
3- In the Provider's configuration menu go to:
Dialing Patterns (3rd option form the top) and configure your outbound dialing patterns.
I have attached a screen shot of my config with this post. In my case I don't need to match any dial patterns since I use this system for my personal use. So I told the system that after I dial the number 9 to get out, to accept any number pattern I dial. That's what the " 9|. " dial pattern id for.
Anyhow, here is this section is where you would define any outbound dialing rules.
When I want to make a call I just press 9 to get out and then dial 1 + 10 digit phone #.
