ALIX.2C1 & ISDN MINI-PCI HFC-S

Hi,

i have a problem i could'nt solve yet.
I've no idea...

ALIX.2C1 (Firmware 0.98g) / mini-pci card with a HFC-S chipset / 1024MB CF)
When the system comes up i see no errors in the boot messages - after finishing booting the menu shows up and then the box hangs....
When I ping the box during start up it answers (after the mneu shows up) for 2-3 times.
--> without the isdn-card everything works fine

curious: somentimes (rarely) the box comes up with problems on ad0 device (not writeable) THEN it is possible to get into the webconfigurator and ISDN seems to be loaded correctly - the only problem is, that ad0-device works not correctly

So far i tried out the newest bios (0.99) with the effect, that the boot-process stops in fact of kernel-errors (network-interfaces)

I also installed different images of Askozia
(Pfsense-Images which don't detect ISDN work also with ISDN-card plugged in)

I hope someone could help me

But to be fair, the Alix 1c comes with only one eth port. Though it has vga, audio, ... stuff we probably don't need for a PBX. The net5501 works with the HFC ISDN PCI card...

Still, what's the benefit of having a cheaper solution if that solution is not a solution because it doesn't work?

Well, get the BIOS fixed - in the case it is a BIOS issue. For sure it is no mISDN issue (this time).

It seems their is a serious bug around with current ALIC BIOS.
