Grandstream - Budget Tone 100 (Works well - very easy to setup - supports a good range of codecs) - Best i've tested so far
Cisco - 3940 (Buggy keeps rebooting the phone - limited codec support) - Wouldn't recommend
Safecom - SDSIP5000 (Works fine - not as nice to setup - doesn't support GSM or iLBC)

We've been using SNOM 360's and Grandstream GXP 2000's with Asterisk and AskoziaPBX for awhile. No real complaints about either phone but the SNOM 360 has a higher construction quality (i.e. it feels like a "real" phone when you pick it up).

Managed to setup a couple of linksys PAP2 adapters, there were a bit of a nightmare with them having there own dial plan, I don't like the interface on these at all.
On the Safecom phones I mentioned in the 1st post, a nice feature on these is the ability to export/inport the settings meaning I can have a backup config for each extension so if any problems arise a quick restore of the config should fx it in seconds.

I'm using a Linksys SPA941 and a Linksys SPA3102 (not using the the FXO port since it's a pain to set-up and has huge echo's on my line).

Atcom AT-320 with IAX2 firmware. All codecs works: GSM, G.711u/a, iLBC, G.729 and G.723.1

Hi,
I'm using optiPoint 150s from Siemens. It's well built concerning the telephone 'look eand feel' but a little bit expensive for its (limited) features. It uses PoE, a big plus for me. (only one line to the device, no wall-brick and need for mains-outlet nearby)
An ATA I've tried was ZyXEL P2002L, it works. But beware of the AOL-ones there only the 2nd SIP-account works, because the firest ist autoprovisioned by AOL.
Does anyone know an ATA that accepts loop disconnect dial (Impulswahl)? I've found none.
Bye
Helge

Hi,
I would like to contribute to this list the following SIP devices that have been tested and work flawlessly with AskoziaPBX:
Siemens OptiPoint 420 Advance (quite expensive phone with rich features)
Siemens OptiPoint 410 Standard (another model of the same family)
Gigaset C470 IP (a rather good choice for a wireless SIP phone)
Gigaset C450 IP (the first SIP phone from Gigaset family with excellent features)
Nokia N800 (the very best Internet tablet registers happily with AskoziaPBX and also supports videoconference calls with its built-in camera)
iPhone (yes, it works, with the application Fring installed)
All above phones have been tested in an internal LAN (connecting wired or wireless) but also over Internet connections (eg. a SIP phone at office connecting over Internet to the AskoziaPBX at home, so I can receive house calls when working...)
Bye, Nick

I'm successfully using a SNOM 320 SIP phone running the latest firmware (7.3.14) with no problems at all.
These phones are very well built and sound quality is very good also. Easy setup.
Got mine a at very discounted price on Ebay.

Hi,
got the Siemens S450 IP working, finaly... Have had to add realm, username and insecure=invite within the extra attributes. DTMF just works when set to rfc2833.
