Hello everybody,

I just wanted to give you a short update on 2.1.4 - we are currently testing it in our labs. This morning the mood in the testing team was pretty good, so I think that we are making good progress here. Those of you who visit the forum regularly know that we don't like to dedicate ourselves to exact release dates. There is always something going wrong in the last minute. However, my prognosis is next week. Smiley

New features of 2.1.4:

- Night Switch with individual greetings  It supports two different modes - you can either push a button when you go home and push it again when you start in the morning OR you create an automated schedule and Askozia does the work for you.
- auto-provisioning for Yealink, Tiptel and Polycom
- call forwarding to external phones

Usability improvements:

- predefined user patterns for VoIP provider. They just work. For the start we have Sipgate and probably QSC. The list is going to grow over the next months.

- predefined outgoing patterns. You don't have to play with regular expressions anymore. But you still can, if you like. Smiley

-support button. In case you need support, you simply click a start button, reproduce your problem and click stop. Afterwards you can send all necessary information to us  - of course encrypted.

- the activation key now survives a factory reset

- ISDN providers now also have a tiny status light (like SIP providers)

- the filenames of uploaded MOH and voicemail greetings are now shown in the web interface

- "+" can be in a dial string

- Snom phones don't make group reboots after configuration changes anymore

-  in case you have manipulated the Asterisk config files this is indicated by a warning in the web interface

- "Media" is now permanently in the menu bar, but gives you a warning when Askozia can't find external storage.

I am pretty sure I forgot a few things…

All the best,
Sebastian

... some nice features.

Regarding the phonebook: Is it only a phonebook for outgoing calls or is the phonebook checked on incoming calls too?

Best regards,
Stefan

I think that depends on the phones.

for example, polycom, even if has a number in the address book does not display it....
Other brands maybe do...and it's not a Askozia limit.
Obviously, if then supports the feature of showing the name corresponding to the number in the address book, i guess it will be shown.

The night switch also has a manual mode. If your business is closed over Christmas, you can activate the night switch manually and deactivate it when you return.

My way of doing this : res_calendar

Just make it see if it is busy or not using CALENDAR_BUSY(my_google_public_holidays) and CALENDAR_BUSY(my_custom_holidays).
my_google_public_holidays would be a published Google calendar with all the bank holidays.
my_custom_holidays would be a calendar you (or better, someone else with no technical skills required) would edit.

Cheers
