Hello everybody, It's been a long way coming, but Diet Askozia is now available for Embedded and Generic PC. As promised, it has the full feature set of Askozia 2.1 but is limited to two parallel calls. You find it here: http://www.askozia.com/dietYou might recognize that the software version is 2.1.2 Diet. 2.1.2 for the full version will also be released this month. Everybody who purchased 2.1 firmware will receive the usual update link. Have a nice evening, Sebastian

@Sebastian. Can you please tell me what 2 parallel concurent calls are? Is it that 2 different extensions in Askozia simultaniously can call with 2 different outside/outbound lines? Or will that count as 4 since there are 2 extensions and 1 or 2 trunks involved. Tell me exactly please.

I will as soon as 2.1.2 is released. The Diet version doesn't have a separate changelog.

Asterisk can create up two channels. That means your example would work with Diet Askozia. If you execute core show channels in the AMI, you can see exactly for what activities Asterisk needs to create a channel for.

Hello,
I am using askozia at my home. I still use 2.0.4 and i was thinking to upgrade to diet 2.1.2 but ... I wanted to test one call how many channels needs. So i dialed a number and then issued the command:
core show channels
According to what i saw there, there were two Active Channels (with one call). So unless i am doing something really wrong, if i install diet 2.1.2 version i wont be able to make a second concurrent call !!!
Sorry, but if this is true and i repeat if i am not making something wrong or if i didn't understand something correct, diet version is really useless for home users. It can be used only for evaluation or demonstration purposes.
EDIT: i also tried to call my second extension and again, 2 active channels for a call between two extensions !!!

Example scenarios possible with Diet Askozia: - 2 external calls at the same time - one internal call (between extension A and B) + one external call from extension C - two people can be in conference room - of course, that doesn't make too much sense - an external call is forwarded to an external phone (mobile phone) + one external call at the same time - parked calls are not counted as active calls

Upgrade from 2.0.4 to 2.1.2 diet is NOT possible. The update beaks the whole html and layout of the Webgui.
Update: after deleting the cache the problems were gone. It looks great.
How can I install MWI for Linksys?

@Sebastian
My compliments for how the software looks like. Even the calldetails history looks nice. I really want to use this BUT......
1) Please make MWI for Linksys SPA phones possible 2) Please make seperate greeting voicemail messages possible for each extension.
Those 2 things are the only things I miss, and when they are solved I will surely stay with Askozia and even buy the license.

Thank you. to 1. Definitely on the list but I can't give you a date yet. to 2. That is already supported. You only need to install external storage (e.g. a USB drive) and call 000086.
