Howdy,
I booted the computer with the askozia-pbx-generic-pc-x86-i486-uclibc-2.0.1.iso CD.
I had a freshly formatted DOS floppy in the floppy drive.  I had a 128 MB CF card with a FAT16 filesystem in a USB to CF adapter.  As far as I can see, it is just like a USB drive, but there may be something I don't see.  During the boot, I get a message that settings won't be saved, because it can't find a floppy or a FAT USB drive.  Does this feature work?  What do I need to do to save my settings?
The computer is a Compaq 1 GHz P3 machine with an Intel 815 chipset and 512 meg of ram.  I'll probably try the option to install to hard drive tonight.  But, it would be nice to demo with the CD and show how to make the setup persist.
I was impressed that the TDM400 card was detected out of the box.  The 2 FXS ports were setup and I just had to do a couple of things to be able to place a call.  No voicemail yet, but that could well be because of no persistent storage.
Good day,

It should just save them on the usb stick directly. No need to have a separate floppy disk. Could you post some more details on your hardware and perhaps a "fdisk -l"?

The computer is a Compaq Evo.  It has 512 meg of ram, uses an Intel 815 chipset and has a 1.3 GHz P3 Celeron.  The 1.3 GHz Celeron is a pretty good cpu, being about the fastest P3 desktop cpu Intel made  I used this computer for a while as a desktop machine and it works fine.  I have a Digium TDM400 with 1 FXO port and 2 FXS ports installed.  Below are fdisk -l and dmesg results.

/root # fdisk -l

It looks like the second partition of your AskoziaPBX installation isn't being recognized. The first FAT partition is recognized but the second fails. Without that second partition the system has no /usr and no system media.

What is this second partition you refer to?  As I said in the first message, I am booting from the CD.  The hard drive is not being used and there is only one partition on the USB device.

Maybe you are implying that the Live CD can't make use of storage and I need to install to the hard drive.  The hard drive contains a PBXinaflash install that I am comparing to Askozia.  They each have advantages.

You're right...sorry, I missed that. Too many posts and mail, too little time.

It seems no one has used the cd + floppy configuration yet with 2.0 because it is definitely broken and would've already been reported. That code was not updated for the Linux port. Patches welcome!

For now, I would recommend using your USB stick as the boot media and simply install AskoziaPBX on it directly.
